v3 not rendering the same as v2

Question

I bought v2 and have a couple more trial days of v3 remaining. I just updated to the last version of v3 and now when I open the same MD file in both versions the images are no longer displayed in v3.

Here are the first few lines of the "index.md" file.

Birding Adventures

The 1st and 3rd file contain images and they reside in the same folder as the MD file. Whether I open the index.md file or the individual files the images don't display in v3. Prior to the latest Version 3.1.7 (1184), it worked but I wouldn't want to say that now with 100% confidence. Either way, it's not working now and I've tried playing around with the paths but nothing worked.

See attached zip. I had to rename and upload the zip again because it didn't let me upload the original 2x. I didn't realize it would insert the link at the current cursor position so I deleted it.

I tested this content again with v2 and v3. V2 works fine and there's a PDF of the output from v2 in the root folder along with the index.md file. V3 does not work meaning none of the images are displayed. The first page shows a placeholder but the others don't which is another reason for creating the v2 PDF to compare. The photos are just examples right now for testing and a couple I simply kept repeating so you'll see the same over and over. There's over 400 pages and most have very little content but I was trying to work through my workflow.

I tried creating a paginated PDF using v3 but after 15 mins I force quit the app. v2 took about 4 mins to create the PDF.

I hope you'll be able to recreate what I'm seeing.

I was running this on a MBAir M4 running v26.5.2 w/16gb RAM.

v2 is running Version 2.6.46 (1071)
v3 is running Version 3.1.7 (1184)

I'm need your app to create page breaks, add page #'s, add headers & footers. Afaik, I can't resize or reposition images in Marked so I'm using PDFgear to do that and add page #'s in case I end up with blank pages due to possibly relocating images.
