Trying to create PDFs to review on Remarkable

Viewed 24

I use iA Writer to write articles. I just got a Remarkable Paper Pure, and I want to use it to review article drafts and annotate them.

I'm using the Swiss style in Marked, and when I save to a paginated PDF, the font size is a bit small. I tried creating a custom style based on Swiss, increasing the font and the line spacing. When I export to PDF with that style, the font is even smaller and the line spacing even tighter.

It seems that the PDF export formatting doesn't quite match what Marked displays. If I go back to the basic Swiss, I can override the base font size, and that solves the size issue, but I don't see any way to change the line spacing.

Also, at certain font overrides, the PDF has one or two blank lines randomly throughout the document.

The font size should be adjustable with "Custom font size" in the export panel, which it sounds like you're playing with. Line height is not currently overridable, but you can drop in custom CSS to "Additional CSS" in the style pane, which should take effect.

Paginated PDF formatting is not going to match the preview exactly, as Marked has to do a lot of work to deal with pagination and other printing considerations. It should be close, though, and if you're seeing issues, please use Help->Report an Issue to share your configuration and a sample Markdown file and PDF export you're getting.

I fonud a better solution. If I export to ePub, I have control of the font size on the device, line spaing options, and a choice of four fonts.
