In the last update it was said that non-paginated PDFs should be handled better now, but I'm still having problems with it. It is either leaving a wide blank column along the side of the entire document, or it is introducing a LOT of white space at the top of the document.

Hi Zach,
You're right that the last update was supposed to improve Continuous PDF, and you're also right that it didn't fully get there. The two things you're seeing are both leftover layout bugs from that pass, not your document.
A blank column along the side showed up when the export page was a fixed width (800pt by default) but the layout was still being sized to the preview window. A large gap at the top showed up on longer documents because the exporter was painting from a scrolled window instead of the full page.
I have a fix in for the next build. If you can send one of the files that shows either symptom, I'll confirm against that exact document as well.
