Speed Reading not working

Question

Hi,

Just bought Marked3, tried to test one of the features I most wanted - speed reading - and it doesn't work, doesn't show any error, it just does nothing. Either by the menu on the bottom left or Preview \ Speed Read.
Other issues:

I open a doc I already have (obsidian), I can read it but not edit it
When I try to create a new markdown doc I'm prompted to choose default editor or Dingus, choosing Dingus closes the app immediatly, pls check the error file attached - error-report.rtf

Am I missing something?

Thanks for the detailed report and crash log — that helped a lot.

There will be a new version (3.1.0) out today for Paddle and Setapp customers, but it will take a while for it to roll out to the App Store.

Dingus crash: This was a compatibility bug on macOS 12. Choosing Dingus tried to enable a Web Inspector feature only available on macOS 13.3+, which crashed the app. A fix is in the next build.

Speed Read: Also addressed for older macOS/WebKit versions. After updating, try Preview → Speed Read (⌃⌥S) once the document preview has finished loading.

If Speed Read still fails after updating, let me know whether the status bar at the bottom shows any message when you trigger it.

Update: done. checked it before sending the message, but wasn't available.
Speed read: as before, no reaction, no message in the bottom bar. this bar shows in the left: pin, code, style; middle: nr of words; right: keywords (buttom with a pen within a circle, pressed it, the buttom disapeared to colapse the small window that opened, clicked the same place where the button was to colapse it), export, settings.
