Marked 3 renders Tufte sidetones from my Tufte.css but does NOT print them

I have a tufte.css that allows me to create markdown that follows the style in Tufte's books. I have an example doc that exercises the various parts of it. The sidenotes render correctly on the screen with Marked 3 but do not when I go to print.
