Delay before refreshing view
I do editing in iawriter and previewing in markedapp. It seems that when switching between from iawriter to markedapp the latter would start refreshing when iawriter hasn't finished saving yet and I get transferred to the top of the document in markedapp as a result. Rarely it would correctly stay in the same spot like it should. The problem can be avoided by first switching to any third running app or saving the text in iawriter before switching. None of the workarounds are good so I propose introducing a small delay before refreshing the contents of a changed document.

I'm not able to replicate this on my development version, so I may have already fixed this when I implemented a check for whether the document has actually changed before updating. The Autosave feature in iAWriter makes it interesting. I need to load up the current version and make sure I _can_ replicate it there, otherwise the problem might be elsewhere.
The problem may also be that there's already a delay that prevents Marked from updating more than once in a 1-second period, so it may receive a file update notice from iA and then not run the refresh when the final write comes through within the next second. I have removed this check in lieu of the above method in the next release as well, so that possibility is also taken care of.
I'll do some more testing on this, but I do think it should be resolved in 1.4 (which I'm submitting for review this week).
Thanks,
Brett

Well, I've since noticed that the same behavior occurs even when saving manually in iawriter (marked updates automatically based on file being changed).
You may be right about the pre-existing delay scheme.
Anyhow, looking forward to a fix, marked is helping me so much and this unfortunate scrolling thing takes away a lot of time.

That's really odd, even in the 1.3 release. Where are the documents you're editing in iA stored? Do you see the same issue editing a file on the Desktop or in iCloud? Lastly, can you test with TextEdit and make sure that the issue is definitely confined to iA Writer?

The document I'm working on resides on my desktop, not connected to iCloud in any way. I couldn't reproduce this when editing in either TextMate 2 or TextEdit, iawriter however readily makes marked jump to the top (not always, but in about 80% of switches or saves).
