Strike App
Stike is a relatively recent new markdown supporting text app
Marked (unsurprisingly) works when it exports to md format
It would be helpful if it could do a live preview of the native format tech time it is saved

I can't even find a working website for Strike to check it out. Do you have a link that I don't?
Thanks,
Brett

Hi Brett
thanks for fast response
no as you doubtless found all the App Store links and developer site are
down…
there is a reddit r/strikeapp - where I have just asked what’s going on &
will let you know if I get an informative response.
I believe Strike shared some developers with Airmail, so I hope this is
temporary.
*bar a number of bugs it looked like a very elegant lightweight note taking
app, not sure where I’ll go if it’s been abandoned, AppleNotes is becoming
powerful and is clearly well integrated, but I found being able to switch
in and out of Markdown very useful as part of my workflow*
Kind regards
John

Just as a point of interest, nvALT offers excellent Markdown editing and is the only app that currently takes advantage of Marked's streaming preview, allowing truly real-time integration. Marked also works with Bear and The Archive, among others.

Just had a response from developers saying they are scheduling a new
response soon. Asked how I can get the Marked team in touch with them...
Used nvALT for a long while (and MMC) on your recommendations - very much
got me into using markdown, but found nvALT left me rather unstructured.
Bear OTOH was too much (over complex/slow/costly), subscribed for a year,
but found it too slow and switched to Strike halfway through
find markdown & associated tools wonderful for fast semi structured notes,
when I am working on a project, Then try and tidy up keep the useful bits
into a more structured tool and throw the more redundant pieces

Hi Brett
The Strike website is up again now http://strike-app.com
(and has live support running too)
some details there - clearly the subreddit r/strikeapp gets quick response from the team.
hope this works well for Strike & Marked
cheers John

Ok, well if they get in touch with me, I'd be happy to see if Marked integration is a possibility. I assume it doesn't store text files directly on the disk, so it would require either direct support from them or an AppleScript capability to get the content of the current note...
