so - I am a little new to markdown but confused as to why marked doesnt read .rft apps - i am trying to use it in conjunction with byword and the workflow - ummm... doesn't flow.

how about simply adding an editor to marked? like the old homesite app used to do so nicely? one pane markdown - one pane preview?

thanks!

Sorry, RTF files are not text files. Open one in a plain text editor and you'll see that it's basically unreadable. Rich text editing is completely outside of Marked's stated scope.

There is no styled (rich) text in Markdown, it's a markup language that replaces that. Learn the syntax, then set Byword to use Markdown/Plain Text instead of RTF and Marked will serve its purpose.
