TOC on different frame?

Is it possible to have the HTML generated with the TOC on a separate frame so the output looks similar to the following:

    Do you mean you want it in a column on the left? That's not possible
    with the export feature, but if you have the skills you could always
    dissect the HTML output and create it on your own... though obviously
    not a solution for automated export. Sorry.

    Yes, I was hoping for an automatic export feature that created a column on the left. Wouldn't that be a cool product feature?

    Then it gets into a whole templating setup that's far too complicated to
    offer elegantly. At that point you're doing web design with a Markdown
    tool, and supporting it across other export formats would be a
    nightmare. It would be a neat trick, but overall impractical.
