Sorry to bother you with this but I was under the impression that this:

aaa | bbb
ccc | ddd
eee | fff

would be marked as an html table.

Am I missing something?

   Hi theostar,

   No, that would not create a table in MultiMarkdown 3, which is what Marked runs on. You need a header and alignment rows:

     column A | column B
     |:-------|:-------|
     aaa | bbb
     ccc | ddd
     eee | fff
