Possible to print footnotes divided up onto the page they appear?

I went to print a long document today. It printed the footnotes as endnotes, as they appear in the document. This isn't surprising. I wonder however, if it is possible to print them on the page that they appear, as true footnotes. Is it?

That is to say, each page will have each footnote contained within the page printing at the bottom of the page instead of at the end of the document.

Now I have been a Marked user since... oh since whenever version 1 first appeared, and I rarely print things, so if this isn't possible and if it's difficult to program, no worries at all. I'm just curious. It would be a cool feature.

Edit: Just to specify, these footnotes are written using MultiMarkdown
