Marked hangs
Marked is a great tool, but I believe I found a bug: Sometimes I use marked to view the resulting HTML source code. If I now save a new version of my markdown document, marked hangs (spinning ball) for about 15 seconds before it refreshes the HTML output. In standard mode (formatted view), the new version appears almost instantly.
I use Marked in combination with the Aquamacs editor and with a custom processor (pandoc), but I don't think this is related to the problem.

Could you turn off your custom processor and see if you have the same issue?

makes no difference

I haven't been able to replicate this so far. Can you post a file that you're using when you see this bug manifest?

I may be able to shed some light on this as I have been seeing this problem as well and I just fixed it, for now at least.
I have been using markdown-mode in Emacs 24.3 and have been editing and saving the same file for weeks, often 20-30 times a day, with a Marked window always open with no issues; but in the last few days I've been seeing the 10-15 second slowdown in Marked; Activity Monitor confirms it is Marked going compute-bound after the save from Emacs.
So I tried closing the .md file in Marked and then re-openening it, and there was no slowdown either on the open or on showing the subsequent changes from edits in Emacs.
I hope this information is helpful.
