Open in Marked Service does not work on TextEdit
Hallo,
I installed the Open in Marked Service from the Bonus Pack. It works like expected when I highlight a file in Finder, but when I edit this file (or any other file, for that matter) in TextEdit and try to use it, an error occurs:
»The action “Run AppleScript” encountered an error.«
I used the most recent version of the Bonus Pack, I tried re-downloading it and replace it with the new download (I deleted the old file first) and I tried restarting. Error still occurs.
I'm using a MacBook (Late 2009), running OS X 10.8.
First, it is supposed to open the file in Marked when I run this script, right? (Just to make sure the thing I try to do is supposed to happen.)
If yes, any tips I could try to make it work? I'm not as skilled in AppleScript as I’d like to be, but I’m rather good at following instructions.
Thanks for any help,
Marko

The bonus pack hasn't been fully tested since I upgraded to Mountain Lion. The short answer is that there's no guarantee that that Service or AppleScript will work in any given application. If I find a workaround for TextEdit in 10.8, I'll post a new Bonus Pack.

I figured it was a compatibility issue. Thanks a lot!
