Markdown editor now opening

First time user.

I must really be stoopid but I open txt file in Marked and see no editor. Source view shows HTML tags but not editing capability. In short I can't edit what i open.

Please help my mood.

   Marked is clearly labelled a Previewer and not an editor. You use it with
   your editor of choice and it updates every time you save.
