Previewing a document shows the images, but are not saved with the HTML

I am using asciidoctor as a custom pre-processor. I am on a Mac, version Monterey, 12.6.3.

When I open the asciidoctor document in Marked, the preview shows the imbedded images, but when I save as HTML and request "Imbed local images for standalone HTML" the images are missing from the HTML. Has something changed? I believe this used to work.

I am running Marked Version 2.6.22 (1040).

I can verify that Embed Images works with Markdown input and HTML output, and there's no reason it shouldn't work with a custom processor. Are the images you're embedding stored on your local drive?

    Brett,

You gave me the hint that I needed. Yes, I have the images stored on my
local drive but it is in my Dropbox folder and I have that infernal Dropbox
option turned on called Selective sync. Apparently this option does not
    work on all Macs.

When I copy my .ADOC file to my local drive, saving the HTML results in my
images appearing in the HTML file. I was fooled because the images
    appeared in the preview.

    Case closed.
