Typographic quotes
Hi Brett,
it would be nice if a future version would respect the kind of typographic quotes chosen in the sytem preferences (or within the Marked preferences). In french and german versions the english style isn't approppriate beyond private use.

I'll see what I can do. It appears that the current version of MultiMarkdown isn't respecting "language" or "quote style" metadata headers anymore, but I'll look into it.

I got the syntax wrong. You can set a quotes language using MultiMarkdown metadata (assuming you're using the default MultiMarkdown processor). In the first line of your document, include
Quotes Language: german
or
Quotes Language: french
There's currently a bug in Marked 2 that will break the first quote the first time you make this change (it sticks the "last edit" marker inside the symbol for the quote) but it will go away after the next edit. I'll work on fixing that.

Hi Brett,
wow, I didn't know about that (I only tried the "language: german" metadata, which is obviously LaTeX only).

BTW, I just fixed the edit point positioning issue, that will be taken care of in the next update I release.

Hi Brett, sorry about bothering again with "Quotes Language" … but it seems to be broken again.

I'm working on a fix, but in the meantime, try using "quoteslanguage" as on word in the key.

Hi, thanks for the tipp, it's far from reliable, so I hope you get it working soon.
