Unfortunately I cannot code / use apple script, so I am not able to realize the following workflow:

I use sublime text to create memos in markdown. I would like to convert these memos automatically into PDFs (using the header functions of marked). Is there a simple way that I can use e.g. Hazel or DevonThink to send a markdown file (e.g. if it contains #finished) to marked in the background and have marked convert it to a PDF. Then marked should save this PDF-file and I let Hazel monitor the folder, which then checks the PDFs for other keywords and moves them automatically to defined folders. Could someone help me with this? Is it possible to somehow realize that? Thank you very much in advance.

Best,
what you're looking for, you'd need to set up a system using Pandoc and
various command line PDF utilities. It's not impossible, but it's not
simple (and unfortunately well beyond what I can offer in a Marked
support forum).

The funny thing is, I already had this workflow many years ago with the help of very nice users from the MacPowerUsersForum (then still at Google+). But in autumn I had to replace my MacBook and unfortunately I didn't have enough notes about how i set up pandoc (or rather I no longer understand them), so I couldn't set it up on the new Macbook the way it was needed for my workflow. Now I thought I didn't want such a complicated solution in the future again and tried to use marked, because there are such great settings for. well maybe i will try my luck again on the new MPU forum

thx!

rexwex
