Is there some way to have Marked treat single returns as new paragraphs (i.e., instead of as <br>'s) when exporting from Ulysses?

This sounds like a Ulysses question. Single line breaks never represent paragraphs in markdown, and only even represent hard breaks in some processors. Most ignore them completely.

It seems when exporting to HTML, Ulysses makes a concession to usability to treats single returns as <p> instead of <br>. However, this is not the case when exporting as Markdown (e.g., exporting to Marked). Their developers are looking into adding this as an option.

In short: This is a Ulysses 'issue' and will be 'solved' on that end, if at all.
