Hi,

i am using iA Writer to write my Documents in .markdown and MarkedApp to preview and read them. My Problem is, that i can only preview and read .markdown Documents written with iA Writer, when they are not stored in iCloud.

Do you plan to add iCloud Support? Or is this technically impossible?

Regards,
Sebastian

What happens when you try to read a doc from iCloud? It works perfectly for me and others who have tested, so there may be another issue.

Ah, that's an easy one :). Open Marked, and when the document is open in iA, just drag the icon from the toolbar to Marked in the Dock. Everything else should be automatic.

    Hello,

I'm new to OS X, and am pretty sure that I'm not doing this right.

I've got the same issue as the original post, but am trying to open a Byword document that's stored in iCloud. I've tried dragging the document window onto the Marked dock icon, which didn't work. I love Byword, but the minimal interface isn't giving me any hints as to what is draggable.

Do you have any suggestions on how I can open a Byword iCloud document in Marked?

    Thanks for your time,

    Dan

Once you save the document, a small icon appears to the left of its title in the Byword document title bar. That's what you want to drag.

    Hi,
I seem to meet exactly the same problem: I can preview my IAW files when they are in a standard folder, but not in the Cloud. I have tried to drop the small icon next to the file name in iAW onto the Marked window or the Marked icon on the dock, Marked shows me in its window telling that it does not recognize the file (File type Fail). I have also tried to drag the file from the finder (it lives in the ~/Library/Mobile Documents/74ZAFF46HB~jp~informationarchitects~Writer/Documents folder (and I can view it using textedit), but I get the same error message. Has Marked the right to read from the Cloud folder?

Just to complete my previous comment: I get the same error message when I try to directly open the file in marked using File/Open and getting to the folder indicated above. I can see the file and when I click on Open, I get the File type fail error.
The files name is test.md and it was opening without any problem when it was in another standard folder.

OK, I have restarted Marked, and now it can see the file. Strange... I can also drag the small icon onto it to open it in Marked. I am relieved. ;-)
