It's available from the Preview menu; not the settings as the documentation suggests.

I'll update the documentation, sorry about that. ⌘⌥I will also
toggle it.

Just adding a +1 to this.
I was searching for a good 10 minutes before I found this... Looked all throughout the preferences for the "invert colors" link and could not find it. This should be in the documentation and should perhaps have an option in the preference panel or the preference dropdown menu (cog icon) in the lower right.

This is still a problem. The related help reads:
"If you prefer light text on a dark background, Marked has you covered. In the Style preference panel, you can invert the colors any of the default schemes for a light on dark result, and if a custom theme is built properly it will work there as well."
But it's in the Preview menu.

Thanks, updated the help file for next release.

I can't find this setting anywhere in the preferences. Version 2.6.16 (1031).
Am I missing something somewhere?
Fortunately, the shortcut that Brett mentioned works perfectly:
⌘⌥i
This is command option lower-case-i
("i" as in the initial letter of the word "initial"). That vertical symbol in Brett's shortcut is hard to read on this page -- which is ironically appropriate in this context of contrast ;-)
It's truly awesome to be able to create a markdown document that renders as a web page in a very elegant dark theme. Thanks, Brett!

It's not a preference, it's a menu item under the Preview menu (and can thus be toggled with the keyboard).
Thanks,
Brett

Hi Brett,
I see it now.
As one of my math professors said: One needs to know EVERYTHING before being able to do anything.
Obviously, I need to review all of your menu items.
Be it as it may, great job on the functionality of Marked 2.
Thanks.
