Disappointed to see that Marked does not play well with
DevonThink, where I spend most of my working day.</p></div>maculatag:support.markedapp.com,2011-09-11:Comment/267399862014-07-29T16:17:38Z2014-07-29T16:17:38ZWatcher script for DEVONthink?<div><p>Bump 2. Hopeful and polite.</p></div>greg.ferrotag:support.markedapp.com,2011-09-11:Comment/267399862014-07-29T16:22:13Z2014-07-29T16:22:13ZWatcher script for DEVONthink?<div><p>Actually, if you drag a database package, e.g. Inbox.dtBase2, to
the Marked icon in the Dock, it will start previewing the most
recently edited Markdown file in the database. Every time you save
a document from DEVONThink, it will update in Marked automatically,
and Marked will switch to the current document when you hit save on
another one.</p></div>Bretttag:support.markedapp.com,2011-09-11:Comment/267399862014-07-29T17:11:44Z2014-07-29T17:11:44ZWatcher script for DEVONthink?<div><p>This is nothing short of brilliant. Thanks, Brett!</p></div>maculatag:support.markedapp.com,2011-09-11:Comment/267399862014-07-29T17:19:40Z2014-07-29T17:24:08ZWatcher script for DEVONthink?<div><p><strong>UPDATE:</strong> Unfortunately, this does not work for
me. I open an .md file in DevonThink, edit it, then save it, but
Marked actually still renders another .md document that I edited in
DTPO several days ago. Any ideas? Thanks.</p>
<p>PS: Using the latest version of Marked.app (2.3.2-841) and
DevonThink Pro Office (2.7.6).</p></div>maculatag:support.markedapp.com,2011-09-11:Comment/267399862014-07-29T18:34:57Z2014-07-29T18:34:57ZWatcher script for DEVONthink?<div><p>When Marked detects a change in the folder, it looks for the
most<br>
recently edited text file, or files with specific extensions if
you<br>
specify them in Behavior preferences under Folder. If somehow your
file<br>
has a future date or is being modified in the meantime, it's what
will<br>
always come out on top.</p>
<p>The first thing you need to check is whether your files have an
"md"<br>
extension. From DT, right click and "Show in Finder" and see what
the<br>
extension is for the file you're editing. Note that if you're in
RTF<br>
mode, Marked isn't going to show it. If the file is plain text and
has<br>
an unusual extension, just go into Preferences and set the "Only
preview<br>
files with extensions" to "txt,md,html,[your extension(s)]".</p>
<p>If there's still conflict, you can drag a more specific folder
into<br>
Marked, too. For example, ~/Library/Application Support/DEVONthink
Pro<br>
2/Inbox.dtBase2/Files.noindex/md would target just the Markdown
files in<br>
my database.</p>
<p>Hope that helps.</p></div>Brett
