Yet another random crashing issue (version 2.4.9)

I just purchased Marked 2 today (also owner of the first version) and immediately started working on my documents. My happy feeling and smile soon got replaced by a sadness, disappointment, and nervousness because the app started crashing randomly during my work. It is one of those annoying things that reduces your concentration and takes you out of the workflow. I really like the concept behind this app and I paid for it to use it, not to get headaches.

I'm using in on the latest Yosemite 10.10.1 in combination with Ulysses III which is super-stable (version 1.2.2). I also tried to update the preferences from the advanced tab to the whole disk hoping that it will solve the issue, but to no avail.

I'm urging the developer to detect and solve the issue ASAP, otherwise I will be forced to ask for a reimbursement.

Thank you.

Thanks for the crash log. I'll run some tests against the dev version tomorrow, but I think this issue should already be covered for the next update, coming this week.

Also seeing almost constant crashes. I've attached the crash log and the file which crashes. Just save a few times and it'll consistently crash. I'm on MacOS 10.9.5 running Marked2 Version 2.4.9 (875).

As a follow-up comment I also see the "Something's wrong" screen a lot. Almost every time I save. About once every five saves, if it doesn't crash, that screen will stay up and I'll have to manually reload it. Oh, and I do all my editing in Vim in case that matters somehow.

I think that I found this issue over the weekend and fixed it. I'll do
some more testing in Vim and see if I can replicate it again. If you're
feeling adventurous, I'd be happy to send the posters on this thread a
copy of the current dev build so you can verify. Let me know.

I appear to have found a solution to the 10.9 issue, but I didn't find
the problem. I was able to replicate on first launch, but after
recompiling on 10.9 it runs fine. Recompiled on 10.10 and it's still
working without issue. I honestly don't know why the issue is there to
    begin with, but I apologize.

I'll be putting out a non-MAS release early next week, and submitting
the next build to the App Store as soon as they approve the current
    release.

Similar problems here with 2.4.9 on Mac 10.9.5. Look forward to trying new release in the next week or so, will report back if issues not solve. Tom

I had some issues in testing, and found one more bug that needs solving
today. I think I'll have it ready by end of day Monday.

The crashing issue seems to be solved with the update by new issue appeared: Live scrolling to edit stopped working.

Still crashing on the same files with similar behavior. I save the file in VIM and Marked 2 crashes out from under me during the refresh. I also continue to get a lot of "Error screens" that I have to clear by hitting Reload in Marked 2. I'm running Version 2.4.10 (887).

I'm seeing the app close (crash?) when i close the About Marked 2 dialog. Also, can't open some files without it crashing. I'm running 2.4.9 (876) from the MAS.

Fix is coming, have to get through the MAS review process...

Looking forward to a fix. Based on some of my edits/changes to files which trigger crashes it seems to be correlated to code highlighting. Files I'm working on with more ``` code ``` blocks seem to crash far more often.

As to the "Something's Wrong" panel, I'm wondering if that's related to some kind of timing issue with file writes and how Marked handles auto-refresh. When I save in vim and Marked triggers its update it seems at times to decide the file isn't quite right. But a simple reload always fixes it.

Any update on when the fix will be available in the MAS? At the moment Marked 2 is totally unusable for me - crashes all the time when opening files :(

No update, still stuck in review. I will, however, send you a code for
the direct version so you can test with that and use it until the MAS
catches up. I'll contact you directly.
