Rendering issue, embedded figure

Hi,

I am kicking the tires on using docling for PDF->markdown. A test on a scientific paper with illustrations yields markdown output that renders correctly at https://markdownlivepreview.com/ but strangely in marked2. Text following an embedded image is rendered as yellow highlight, and markdown section headers are in the flow as regular text with their '#'. This persists until the next embedded image seems to switch off this behavior.

I am attaching the original PDF and the markdown generated from it in case this is of interest to you

It sounds like you're rendering highlights. I haven't tested with your markup, but I would ask that you first go into Settings->Processor and disable "Render ==highlight==".

Let me know if that makes any difference.

That's exactly it. Those image strings had a == at their ends. Thank you for clarifying this for me. (happy marked user since 2014)
