I have the same problem.
I have changed the default dl=0 to dl=1 and also another suggestion raw=1. These changes work in Byword, 1Writer mWeb etc. but just display a question mark in a blue box in Marked 2.
Any help or advice would be appreciated.
BTW this is only a recent problem as the same files with Dropbox image links were fine before.
Thanks

I have this fixed for the next update. I will try to get that out as soon as possible.

Would both of you be able to test this out before I release it? It's working for me locally, but I'd like to make sure it's working in your cases.
Download build 1017.
You can run it from your downloads folder, no need to overwrite the version in /Applications.
Thanks,
Brett

Hi Brett,
I can confirm that Marked2.6.61017 render my images (https://www.dropbox.com/s/xxxxxx.png?dl=1) perfectly - thanks!
Doing my tests I found a couple of things which didn’t work:
1. Can’t change style template (fixed with GitHub)
2. Preference->Style->Syntax highlights doesn’t work
I did a test (pass) with mermaid by inserting the style reference in the top of the document - it worked despite syntax highlighting was enabled. In Version 2.6.5 (1016) the mermaid script doesn’t work when syntax highlightning is enabled.
Maybe an indication that syntax highligtning is broken.
Very best regards

Hi Brett,
Problem solved.
I use linked Dropbox images quite a lot (mainly on iPadOS) but this is great for me.
It works for both ?raw=1 and ?dl=1, which is what I use.
Thanks a lot
Ian

Marked 2 2.6.7
Hi Brett,
I’ve just updated Marked 2 to version 2.6.7 and unlike the test version you let me download above, the problem displaying linked Dropbox linked files remains.
I have just downloaded your test file again (post above) and confirm that it still works, whereas the new update 2.6.7 doesn’t.
I hope this helps
Kind regards
Ian Griffiths

That's odd. I'll look into it further.

Ok, I found the issue (again). Will try to get the next update out this

Hi Brett,
I think I'm a bit confused by the version numbers.
I updated Marked 2 to version 2.6.7 on my Macbook this morning and the Dropbox image link didn't work as I described in my post, and to which you promptly answered.
I just updated Marked 2 on my Mac Mini after checking for updates prompted me and the Dropbox image links work fine. It shows version 2.6.6 in the About box.
When I go back to my Macbook it tells me I have the latest version, showing 2.6.7(1020) and no update is necessary.
I'm guessing your fix for the problem reverted to the earlier version number and that's why there's no prompt on version 2.6.7.
Feel free to call me a numpty because I've missed something. I'll leave it as it is on 2.6.7 for now in case you want to do something and I can test it. I can still use the version you posted earlier to test.
Hope this helps
Ian

Version 2.6.6 actually broke a bunch of other stuff accidentally, so I
immediately released 2.6.7. The reason 2.6.6 works is because the
JavaScript is getting an error that prevents it from loading at all, and
the image problem was caused by JavaScript. So I would recommend updating
to 2.6.7 so everything else works, but I'll get the real fix out (2.6.8)
shortly.

You have my sympathies.
I used to do this stuff (SQL Server).
So glad I'm retired ¯_(ツ)_/¯

2.6.8 is out now (direct version, Setapp and MAS pending approval), and
should resolve this issue. Let me know if you still have any problems
with rendering of remote images.
