Error rendering Latex sintax

I'm writing some formulas in scrivener. My syntax is correct because I put these formulas in https://www.mathjax.org/#demo (see demo mathjax attached).
When I put this and other formulas:
$s=\sqrt{\frac{1}{N-1}\sum_{i=1}^N(x_i-\overline{x})^{2}}$

$${x}_{1,2}=\frac{-b\pm \sqrt{{b}^{2}-4ac}}{2a}$$

$$s=\sqrt{\frac{1}{N-1}\sum_{i=1}^N(x_i-\overline{x})^{2}}$$

(see image scrivener) in scrivener and drag and drop in marked2 (see image drag and drop) I obtain a different output because it seems that the "f" of term "frac" is not recognized. How is it possible?

For some reason the conversion from Scrivener is turning the \f into an escape code. If you double the slash, it works fine:

    $s=\sqrt{\\frac{1}{N-1}\sum_{i=1}^N(x_i-\overline{x})^{2}}$

This only seems to be happening with Scrivener, your original syntax in a plain text file works fine with both built-in processors. I'll have to look further to figure out if it's something that Scrivener is doing or an error in the conversion that Marked does.
