Huge PDF sizes after 2.5.14 (947) update

I have a document of 36 pages that I need to constantly update and keep online as a PDF file. After the last 2.5.14 (947) update, the size of the exported PDF jumped from less than 1 MB to over 50. MBs.

Hm. I took out the option for saving lower size PDFs because the low
quality setting had actually started creating larger files than the
standard setting, and high quality wasn't really creating anything
better than standard. I'm not sure what changed since I first
implemented the quartz filters, but I'll have to dig back into it.

    Sorry for the trouble.

I'm having trouble replicating your issue. If you could provide your test document and a screenshot of Preferences->Export, that would be extremely helpful, but if that's not an option, just the Export preferences would be a start.

For me, a 15 page document containing one image is exporting at 315Kb, which is the same as was happening on 2.5.10. It's possible, though, that a preference difference might be causing results I didn't anticipate.

Oops, it seems I may have caused this myself. I had either accidentally changed one of the ads at the end of the document to a 211 MB tiff version (or then the export just now works differently). Anyways, changing that file to a smaller one seems to solve the problem.

    Best wishes,

Ok. Do let me know if you continue to see issues. I added in a double
check for the next update just to make sure that prior quality settings
weren't affecting the newer export settings.
