Thanks for reporting this. Something changed in the selector handling in
WebKit. I've worked around it for the next update.

In the meantime, if you need to access the guides, you can open a
    browser and load this url:

    And the Keyboard shortcuts overview:

(assuming Marked is in your Applications folder)

Are there any plans to release the next update soon? Is it possible to get a workaround that works in the app in the meantime? It's pretty important functionality, especially for casual users who don't have the Markdown syntaxes fully memorized.

Well, the plan has been to release the next update a month ago, so yes, hopefully very soon :). In the meantime, I've made the beta public:

If you're on the MAS version and need a crossgrade to use the beta, email me and I'll get you a license.

Thank you very much, it allows me to see the docs correctly.

I can open Markdown Reference in Marked2 but the link for the Multimarkdown User Guide in that page does not work -- no site.

That link works fine for me. If you're using the beta (which you can
    grab at
if you want it), the links across the top that change guides are fixed
    in that version.

Thanks, Brett, I’ll try that. FYI, Firefox reported: uses an invalid security certificate.

The certificate is only valid for the following names:

Beta gives the same issue: when I click on MultiMarkdown User’s Guide in the Markdown Guide, a blank window shows, after which I’m asked to open Adobe Reader, which I don’t have as I use PDFExpert for pdfs. The Markdown Guide window remains blank after I close this application selection window, and nothing further happens. PDFs are opened with PDFExpert on my OS X 10.11.6 system.

What I'm saying is that the mmd guide is included if you use the links across the top, no need to go to the full PDF via the link you're clicking. I'll fix that link for the next update to make it open in a browser, but for now it's not actually needed.

Thanks, Brett. I eventually realised that the download actually was working, just that is was very slow.
Thanks for drawing my attention to the menu bar across the top, I hadn’t noticed that — my eyes aren’t what they used to be. A sentence such as “Use the menu bar above for MultiMarkdown and Discount reference.” would help idiots like myself.

I can definitely add that :)
