    Hi Christian,

I need to know more about the circumstances surrounding this crash.
First, how are you interacting with the nvALT folder?

    1. Watching a specific file
    2. Watching an entire folder
    3. Using the Streaming Preview

Next, where are your notes located?

    1. On your main hard drive
    2. In a shared folder or network drive
    3. On an external hard drive

Lastly, have you tried running a Disk Repair lately?
    (/Applications/Utilities/Disk Utility)
