Marked 2 behave in a strange way for Non ASCI files

My Marked 2 works fine for ASCII files, but not for documents in Japanese (UTF-8).
1. It interpret newlines as a hard line-break(?). That is, it won't fill the paragraph properly.
2. Numbered lists won't have a proper indentation.

Note: Problem .1 above has been mitigated by changing the file coding from UTF8-unix to UTF8-DOS.

Any suggestions will be welcome.
