rewrites the handling of image paths so that each included path is
rewritten to be relative to the base document in the output,
meaning that within an included file you can use an image path
relative to that file rather than the base. Let me know if that's
the issue.</p></div>Bretttag:support.markedapp.com,2011-09-11:Comment/413953332016-12-06T00:04:23Z2016-12-06T00:04:25ZMarked 2.5.9 can not handle relative paths for images correctly<div><p>No, I am not using an included file. Please see the files

apparently, when I put the src="" part <em>behind</em> a
style="float:none" (or float:left/right) declaration.</p>
<p>Anyway, this is still very inconvenient. I can't use Markdown
for my projects (although I normally rely on it), since I regularly
output documents that have many images, and I don't have the time
to manually write the HTML for each one. @Brett, how is that update
coming along? It's been over a month since you mentioned you would
update the app, so I had hoped this would be fixed by now.</p></div>Jaap Stronkstag:support.markedapp.com,2011-09-11:Comment/413953332017-01-09T16:05:25Z2017-01-09T16:05:25ZMarked 2.5.9 can not handle relative paths for images correctly<div><p>Here's a debug copy of the next update with the fixes for this

and it seems to work better – but it still shows
behaviour that is unclear to me:</p>
<p>1) It is unclear how to specify relative paths in included
documents. A reference relative to the top-level document seems to
work, but relative paths from the included documents seem to fail
or show incorrect behaviour, e.g. by being off one directory level
(see attached sample files).<br>
2) It seems that if an image is loaded once from a valid path, it
sometimes starts to work for other paths as well. In this case,
only a restart of the app will reset the behaviour, so I guess
there is some sort of cache? This one is harder to reproduce and I
couldn't provide a solid test case for it, sorry.</p>
<p>Thanks,<br>

Documentation a breeze :)</p></div>Nathanieltag:support.markedapp.com,2011-09-11:Comment/413953332017-01-16T14:46:46Z2017-01-16T14:46:47ZMarked 2.5.9 can not handle relative paths for images correctly<div><p>Hi Brett,</p>
<p>IU have updatet to "2.5.10 (928)" but the update didn't seem to
have solved the issue. My images are broken; the path is changed by
Marked. The url of the image in Markdown is
file:///Users/jaapstronks/Dropbox/test.png. The .md file called
manual.md is in the same folder.</p>
<p>The image is displayed as a broken image with the url:</p>
<p>
file:///Users/jaapstronks/Dropbox/Users/jaapstronks/Dropbox/test.png</p>
<p>When I change the url to just "test.png", it <em>does</em> work.
So, relative paths now work, but absolute paths are broken. This is
a big problem for me: I have hundreds of local images neatly
organized in folders, that are referenced in dozens of templates
that I use to generate manuals, brochures and the like. Throwing
all my files in the same folder would be impractical ;-) Could you
fix absolute paths too? (As a side note: the name of this topic is
"Marked 2.5.9 can not handle relative paths for images correctly" -
but the problem was that neither relative as well as absolute paths
for images became broken.)</p></div>Jaap Stronkstag:support.markedapp.com,2011-09-11:Comment/413953332017-01-16T16:47:18Z2017-01-16T16:47:18ZMarked 2.5.9 can not handle relative paths for images correctly<div><p>Yep, I'm looking into this right now.</p></div>Bretttag:support.markedapp.com,2011-09-11:Comment/413953332017-01-16T16:56:14Z2017-01-16T16:56:14ZMarked 2.5.9 can not handle relative paths for images correctly<div><p>Found the issue. The test before it expands a path was failing
if the<br>

version, so hopefully I'll get it out in the next day (at least
the<br>
